Shame on WikiLeaks: Framing Lawful Engagement as Anti-American Propaganda (Part Two)
The Americans long ago left behind any claim to moral superiority in war. Might makes right is the only rule they follow.
America dropped poison gas on Iran for years in the 1980s, but we’re all supposed to be horrified because the Iranians now hate the West. Well, duh! Who’d have thunk it?
America installed Saddam in Iraq – assassinating his predecessor to make way for him. Then they supported him as he slaughtered his population and walked away from his enemies after the 1st Gulf War just when they needed support against his revenge. And we are supposed to regard the War on Terror as some sort of righteous jihad where machine-gunning the wounded (a classic American tactic dating back to WWII and beyond) and people trying to move the wounded is justified by the murderous nature of the *other* side?!
Less than 3,000 innocent civilians were killed on 9/11. More than that are killed by Americans every year. But we’re supposed to expect the families and leaders of those dead to chalk it up to “one of those things” and forget about it? Grow up.
Actions have consequences, including those actions shown on this video. Only a child would pretend or expect otherwise.
