She should be expelled, and it would not be a violation of the First Amendment. For one, the Constitution is binding upon the three branches of government: legislative, executive, judicial. It does not guarantee freedom from all consequences for one’s words. If it were a man calling for the death of a woman, simply for refusing to have sex with him, the University of California would not delay expulsion proceedings.

Second, she openly espoused the murder of a guest of her educational institution, bringing even more dishonor to UCSD. But the history of UCSD’s “honor” doesn’t give me hope that they’ll suddenly start caring.
