A government entity, in this case a university, should not be in the business of condemning private citizens exercising their First Amendment rights. That is not to say what the moron said is not repugnant, it is, but it is not the job of the government to arbitrate what free speech should or shouldn’t be condemned.

It is interesting however to compare the reaction of the administration in this episode versus their reaction to the whole “Compton Cookout” episode that occurred earlier in the year. Which is exactly why the administration has no business weighing in on either episode.
