I have seen the video several times and it does in fact appear that Castro has gained a bit of weight, but he has lost his voice entirely and seems feeble and wretched. (I suspect a lot of people in the media who keep telling us how much better the dictator now is haven’t listened to the audio portion.) The original Cuban feed includes piano music in the background and a gooey commentary by some announcer…it is a bit too clever, but not necessarily fake.
