The similarities between Obama and Carter and not striking in detail but in the way both President’s seem overwhelmed by the office itself. Carter failed at trying to avoid politics and lead from his moral conscience, Obama is failing by coming from a background of viewing the world through ethno-centrism. There are just a few more things going on in the world than the position of black Americans. Selecting cabinet positions by gender and race is a bankrupt back massage and nothing else. Allowing his own party and it’s shills such as at MSNBC, where there are no dissenting voices on air, to subvert and circumvent language in order to demonize whites who disaree with him with an argument of ‘it’s just racism’ is straight out of the pages of “1984″ and goes beyond mere moral bankruptcy and into debauchery. The comments of Obama’s wife about her pride in America before the election, Holder’s bludgeoning the public about it’s cowardness avoiding race issues and Obama’s long tenure at the eminently racist Trinity church all speak to Obama’s world views and inability to see the world from the point of view of a pragmatic rationalist; without race as a foundation in which to view a problem, Obama is like a deer in the headlights. Malcolm X once had this problem and solved it by solving his own parochialism.
