The most abusive teacher I ever encountered was a young woman in Kindergarten in 1953. I had learned to read from my older sister by following her finger as she read to me. I was punished for demonstrating that I could read. I remember being held outside the restroom by her until I defecated, and then being berated for it. I only saw her abuse boys.
