I have never seen this kind of abuse by teachers. I have never heard a teacher tell someone they were worthless or not wanted. I have heard a teacher ask the class to remind a particular student what the rules are, but never anything so cruel.
For those who say this is normal, I am sorry you had such bad experiences as students. I guess I was lucky.
