My parents thought that I was retarded because when I was in grade one and two, given the choice of going to the reading circle or playing with plasticene (there were other choices as well) I chose to play with plasticene.
Then I was sent to a private school. It turns out I wasn’t retarded. And disruptive students simply weren’t tolerated.
