We’ve managed to elect POTUS a man who is weak, shallow, pretentious, monumentally conceited, inexperienced and who, in Nat Hentoff’s words, is the most dangerous and destructive ever to hold that office. The Russians, Syrians, Iranians and Turks sized up this mark a year ago and are playing him to their advantage. Santayana, poor man, had it wrong: even those who remember history will relive it because of the ignorant bastards who don’t.
