@ Dave M. Russia always ends up a failure.

This time, we may need to save them from themselves,
both to avoid collateral damage when they crash, and
because _somebody_ has to administer the area, and
better them than us (as long as we have the hammer).

Turkey reneged on an agreement to allow US forces passage into Iraq;
It would have been nice if they had given us reason to forgive that,
but if they want to compound their error…
