The states have an obligation to back federal law, even if the fed does not wish to vigorously enforce it. Giving a pass to “illegal” anything is the gateway to anarchy. Does progressive mean to erase all boundaries? Many states, besides the border states, could step forward to add ‘accountability and transparency’ to the millions of undocumented.
