Rush’s effect on the Democratic primary was negligible. Republicans generally made up a small percentage of the vote and generally went in favor of Obama or were nearly even with less than a 10 point spread and that of less than 15% of the the vote (at best a 1-2% swing which amounts to no electoral votes). Operation Chaos may have been fun theater and may have helped Rush’s ratings but did not effect the number of delegates won or the length of the race.

The cross-over voting was heavy in the other direction. Look at the numbers (CNN has the exit polling breakdowns), it was self identified Republicans and a relatively small number of independents and almost no self identified Democrats that picked McCain.
