I only know what I see on the NYT slide show photos. The building’s interior seems to be very well maintained (to be expected, perhaps) and it’s not so horribly ugly, though I wonder about the utility of having a baggage pickup in the middle of a waiting area.
The outside is several steps below the gag-a-maggot level.
The sad thing is that any building built by a modern architect will probably be much less attractive than Tempelhoff’s interior and might avoid being less ugly than the exterior only by its novelty.
