I once heard a media critic for The Nation give the devil Rush his due, admitting he treats his audience with respect, and he discussed substantive issues. Rush is an astute political observer and a great entertainer. He runs rings around the liberals. His selling of the Harry Reid letter to Clear Channel on ebay, donating the proceeds to a military charity, was a classic example of Rush’s satiric jujitsu played on the liberal establishment that takes itself as seriously as the gods in a Wagner opera. Operation Chaos simply took stock of the incipient chaos in the Democratic party and used it to fuel what was essentially a put on, and a brilliant one.
