Sorry, one more comment. I think what you are saying makes a lot of sense and I didn’t previously disagree with Ms Shiver’s points regarding the evidence that Obama’s intellectual prowess has been wildly exxagerated. I have believed that for a long time.
My point though was that while that may be true, to ascribe what would normally be seen as failures (economy, foreign policy, etc) to that lack of intellectual competence is largely not valid in the case of this regime, because the results we are witnessing are largely the desired and intended results.
And ultimately, your point is a good one only if our hope/belief turns out to be true in that the nation will repudiate the regime’s agenda. They obviouly believed the population would go along with it, or could be forced to. We don’t yet know with certainty the outcome. That should make all of us redouble our efforts to make sure it they are stopped in their tracks. If we don’t , then it will turn out that their approach was perfectly fine, and they are well willing to pay the price of some turmoil and discontent to reach their goals.
