I don’t know if this is a truthful metaphor (huh?)but in politics and stand up comedy ,timing is everything Meaning, his advisers chose Saturday afternoon to allow the Sunday talk shows a chance “explain” his decision before the public. His short term timing may be okay but he should have taken action after the first Wright tape emerged. Now he looks like an indecisive fool. His electability looks shakier every day.
