That aN castigates the Military Commissions Act, and the weaseling that Bush etc were doing prior to that, isn’t stupid.
Where he’s being stupid is invoking “we”. I’m one of the “we” who voted against the Congress that signed that Act. How is it hypocritical for “we”, who realised what Bush was doing and voted accordingly, to point at Chavez and to call him out as “even worse than Bush”?
aN is also being stupid in hijacking the thread with this nonense. I can only assume that he’s trying to guilt trip us – and I include all Americans in this “us” – against acting in our own national interest. I’d say that he’s also unpatriotic, and even treasonous in the “aid and comfort” sense, but he’d probably view that as a compliment.
Even when the Right is as crooked and dictatorial as it was last year, guttersnipes like aN make it really REALLY hard to vote Left.
