Moscow Subway Bombings Show That the Caucasus Region Is Still Seething
Like the al Qaeda terrorists who murdered thousands of innocent civilians on 9/11, the Chechen terrorists are funded and staffed mostly by Saudis. From “The Hindu Times:
“The school hostage-taking raid in Beslan, southern Russia…was financed by a Saudi militant, the Russian military has said.
“Abu Hafs, a Saudi national, funded the siege in North Ossetia and a foiled terror strike in Dagestan, another region neighbouring Chechnya. Abu Hafs has replaced Abu al-Walid, a Saudi killed earlier this year, as the foreign fund-raiser for Chechen rebels. Russian sources said the two Saudis and Omar Ibn al-Khattab, a warlord killed in Chechnya in 2002 met Osama bin Laden. In the early 1990s, the three militants fought in Tajikistan before Osama ordered them to move to Chechnya.”
Chechen “rebels” phoned the Gulf during the Moscow Theater siege.
Like al Qaeda and most Sunni-based terrorism worldwide, the Chechen ‘resistance’ is a Saudi operation. Our government and our press will tell you that the Saudis are an important ally in our war against terrorism. The fact that they’re the world’s largest supporters of terrorism is not usually mentioned.
Russia supports Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the Saudis fear Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and “we” (ie, the US state department and government) ally with the Saudis. Who, along with the other usual-but-rarely-mention ally/suspects in Pakistan support the Chechen rebellion.
Our press, following leads given to them by Saudi funded universities and our government, says what they’re supposed to say. After an attack on Russia, they criticize Russian security and corruption, and warn that any retaliation will lead to a cycle of violence.
The cycle of violence comes from western government alliances with terror supporting states, and the willingness to tolerate the actions of these terror-supporting states when we think they’re ‘on our side’. This cycle is not going to stop until the soft targets decide to tell their leaders that they want to stop being cannon fodder in the great game.
The Russian people don’t really have the power of the vote, but we do.
