As a Medicare biller in a small hospital, I stand beside your comments. My favorite description is that Medicare pays peanuts and with Medicaid you only get the shells.
Of course I have talked to people till I am blue in the face and they still don’t get it. It doesn’t seem to matter what you and I and others in the field have to say about it even though our experience and knowlege should give the discussion a good deal of weight. I don’t relish the day that is coming very soon, when we can say ‘I told you so”. By then the damage will be done and it will be just too sad to say it. I am praying that this thing can be declared unconstitutional. Too bad the Constitution won’t be able to get us out of debt.
