peter38a, despite G Marks’ silliness, there simply aren’t any automomous “communities of Jews” in the diaspora. Except in Israel, Jews live among their neighbors and have no more say than anyone else as to who enters or leaves a country or city. But please note that Israel has given shelter to oppressed non-Jews time and again, including Cambodian boat people, Bosnian muslims, and most recently muslim Blacks from Darfur.
And not to dignify G Marks with a response except to note that the Jews of Germany were highly assimilated, largely free of the ethocentric bonds that o disgust him, and were, as they put it, “more German than the Germans.” Look where it got them.
