The Upcoming Rachel Corrie Trial: Go After Her Real Killers
Mr. Ben-David:
“Some may see the irony in your using the courts and the free press of Israel in your attempt to pursue and denounce the nation your daughter loathed.”
Yes, that thought DID rather occur.
“I see the tragedy in your allying with the International Solidarity Movement — the very people and organization who led and, in a sense, really pushed Rachel to her death.”
The tragedy is that Corrie’s parents are as big a pair of dupes for the violent Palestinians and their allies as their daughter was.
It’d be a damned shame if someone burned their house while they were off in Israel stirring up trouble.
What is staggering is the arrogance behind this lawsuit.
The political turmoil in Israel and Palestine has claimed tens of thousands,(at the least),of far more innocent lives…so what makes Corrie’s death so special, so worthy of a lawsuit?
Nothing.
If you choose to go meddle in other peoples’ violent politics, even as…especially as, an American, you should get your mind right with the idea that you’re nobody special. You are as likely to gakk it as anybody else…perhaps more so.
And if you do end up using a step-ladder to pick turnips, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
