Since many people here is -obviously, given the topic- too much concerned about the “illegal” thing or if it’s civil or criminal offense etc, etc…
I want to say:
Solution to all this mess can be as easy as abolish all those stupid laws and make immigration completely OPEN.
Before some stupid short-sighted people come to criticize me, I want to state I’m completely aware of the the risks, for instance, an influx of terrorist would endanger this country. Therefore, it’s quite OK to have some controls about this, even thougt I firmly believe that terrorism HAVE to be fought at it philosophical level: ISLAM. Islam -as well as socialism- have to be identified and defined as bad things, similar way to Nazis.
But, regarding other concerns like the economy, welfare, job offers, etc, etc; I am convinced immigration (opened or very facilitated) is a good thing in the short and long term:
* Immigrants abusing of welfare? True, but if you are a real right-wing capitalist, you should know damn well that is welfare the enemy and the cause of all this mess. Abolish the welfare and make all private, lower the taxed, make pay everybody for the services the use and it will be fair and the immigrants will not put a unfair weight over the economy.
* Immigrants taking jobs because they have lower salary expectations? True. But you know damn well that’s good for the economy in the long run. Otherwise the American enterprises will suffer from foreign competition. What do you prefer? People coming to America seeking freedom and prosperity or… American companies going abroad to seek cheaper-almost-slave workers, outsourcing everything they can, and -the worst thing- making strong some other country (for sure not a freedom-loving one but a dictatorship) most-probably a country hating America?
* Immigrants taking jobs? Maybe. In a socialist state that’s true. Return to capitalism, free the minds of the inventive, the genius, the creator; lower the taxes and you will see how immigrants can actually CREATE more jobs. There is no such a thing a saturated market, markets will regulate itself; and you should know that also damn well.
