When I was a kid, I had a great high school science teacher. He taught us that REAL science would start with a hypothesis. Then data would be gathered and tested in an experiment to see if the hypothesis could be proven or not. Most times, some sort of a control would be utilized to verify the experiment, to make sure it wasn’t tainted or that data wasn’t being looked at only to get one outcome. If a conclusion was reached that did not support the hypothesis, the whole thing would go back to the starting point, or the hypothesis would be re-examined. REAL science is testable and repeatable. If someone came up with a counter or differing hypothesis, that would be examined and experimented upon as well. The goal of science is greater understanding of the natural world. It is NOT to create a “consensus” and then ridicule those who have a differing hypothesis…these so-called “climate scientists” are nothing of the sort. They are the worst kind who seek to utilize pseudo-science to “prove” a world view…and they got caught at it. They either had academic grants at stake, or their reputations, or maybe they were just political activists…any way you look at it, they were wrong.
