Indeed.
Another (tho’ lesser) recent disappointment is that H1N1 didn’t morph into the global (at least, national) catastrophe they were hoping for, hoping to use a pandemic to give B+arry and surrogates more latitude to compromise your “negative” liberties, that list of constitutional guarantees of areas where government is required to leave you the hell alone. (speech, religion, press, what you can hear over the airwaves etc., even tho’ there were no airwaves at the time those guys wrote the Bill of Rights)
Very problematic, these 2 recent disappointments. There are other tries in the pipeline (e.g., EPA using SCOTUS ruling to bypass Congress & do cap ‘n trade on its own)
