Pace Ms. Johnson, the world may or may not have “gone soft on genocide”, but the world has most definitely gone hard on curtailing everyone’s civil rights in the name of fighting genocide. As EJHill avers, we need look no farther away than Canada to see how hundreds of years of civic liberty have been summarily tossed out to appease a few self-appointed anti-genocide activists.
If these activists really cared about protecting innocent victims, they would be in Darfur, Myanmar or the Congo. That these people spend most of their time sending fund raising letters and swanking around first world law courts implies that their real purpose is nothing more than ethnic score settling of the most atavistic kind.
