31. Meryl:
skeezix, if this POTUS gets his way, you will be looking to the good people who post on this and similar threads for physical protection and day to day sustenance, just like the people of Haiti are doing right now.

Liberal response to Haiti – correspondents serving as doctors treating the injured the injured, Hope for Haiti telethon raising $60 million in one day.

Conservative response to Haiti – “We already donate to Haiti, it’s called the U.S. income tax.” (Thanks, Rush. You’re a prince – a PortoPrince.)

Your problem is that you’re trying to co-opt actions instead of your usual fare – symbols. Stick with symbols – flag pins, three-cornered hats, tea bags, etc. All you have to do is whine to claim ownership.

58. Fred Beloit:
Oboe got one good laugh last night when he said something to the effect that man-made global warming was a settled scientific issue. Some folks laughed out loud. It may have been the gallery.

They were laughing at Republicans who have their heads stuck in the sand. (See: “symbols” above.)

And finally, to everybody, the headline of this rant was “More Lies. Fewer Facts.” I challenged you all to name the lies in the speech. So far, not a one has been produced. Please, for your own sakes, think about that.
