Here, here Tom W. The political fallout (horrible pun not intended) here would be most interesting. Bush may indeed go ahead, having nothing to lose politically. McCain will, rightly or wrongly, be seen as Bush 2 and this will hurt him poliitically if it is a tight race between him and Obama.
Overseas, there have been some intersting things happening. Not a peep about Israel bombing the Syrian/Korean nuke plant, Tzipi Livni being invited to speak in Qatar and even the Saudi king supposedly inviting US Jewish leaders to a conference in the kingdom. And of course Iraq slowly but seemingly surely heading towards stability.
