In this age of competing narratives, truth is the first casualty. The feminist narrative must be viewed through the lens of power and control (a do most grievance based narratives). The feminists see any sort of opposition to their narrative as a violation (violence). Thus to quell the violation, radical egalitarian ideals are asserted (provoked self-defense).
This is why non-physical threats can be claimed as ‘hate’. At its most benign a simple disagreement is now grounds for sensitivity training. At its worst it has been codified in law which the Human Rights Commission of Canada seems to be the most blatant abuse.
