I suppose one could make the same charge regarding the aftermath of Katrina…..
For the record, I think all the bloviating regarding the latest revelations about airline security kinda misses the point. Even if we could make the airlines 100% secure from terrorists attempts, we’ve still got problems (to put it lightly) regarding border security. Point being, one can’t control (manage? address?) terrorism by simply playing defense. Neither can one simply stick their head in the sand and pretend (by playing with statistics) that the problem isn’t real.
