Omegapaladin, I think you miss the point. There are several reasons that Simon Weisenthal sought to bring these individuals to justice. He recognized that no “justice” in terms of the conventional criminal justice system, could ever be brought to someone who butchered people by the thousands. The purpose was to send a message that people and governments should not only not get away with this, but that others should be prevented from doing so in the future. That is why the hunt must continue until, perhaps at some point when the youngest of the offenders is at an age where they are most likely dead, then the hunt should stop. At least until they are verified as deceased.
Then the hunt can continue for the henchman of Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Slobodan Milosevic, the Sudanese Islamist thugs etc. etc. Sad commentary on the human condition.
