Ronald McReagan is the exact kind of person that is a problem. We are all evil, shades of gray, blah blah blah.
I’m sorry, but I’m going to impose a few moral judgments:
1. I walked the streets of Sadr City and talked with the families of the girls whom Uday would pick up on Wednesday for a weekend rape party(their weekend is Thursday and Friday) and take home for a weekend of “fun.” There were hundreds to thousands of such incidents. A regime that condones rape IS evil and deserves to be destroyed. Those who can’t understand that are morally vapid.
2. I saw the mass graves north of Karbala and the grief they caused. The dead were there for daring to oppose Saddam – not by deed most of the time, only by word. Any regime that committs such acts of murder IS evil, and those who think we had no “right” to do anything are morally vapid.
3. I met a 6 year old boy in Karbala whose foot was permanently sideways – smashed by the Fedeyeen b/c his parents refused to let the Fedeyeen use their house to store weapons. Any regime that allows such wanton state sponsored violence against children IS evil, and those who think we should have let them continue are morally vapid.
McReagan, there are MUCH greater evils in the world than what you see in the USA. But you seem guilty for living in such a privileged nation.
See things in black and white? Damn straight, for that’s how they are sometimes.
And to any nation that wants to try the same against us, wel…to quote a “cowboy”…”BRING IT ON!”
