The problem I have with Bush is not his politics or worldview, but his basic incompetence. Iraq need not have turned out this way. If proper post war planning had taken place, if every trained Iraqi policeman or soldier wasn’t sacked day one, if there were enough troops to keep order in the first year, the argument would not be about staying the course now but which regime change is next (Iran, Syria, North Korea?). After Iraq and New Orleans, if the administration was a private corporation, there would have been a new CEO a long time ago. Due to the terrible implementation of his policies, the world and the US is a more dangerous place.
