I thought I might add something to this discussion but 75 people trying to steer one ship is a bit futile .
Kinda illustrates the Presidents dilemma regarding Congress and the voters. About 275 million opinions and which one should he choose.
The 75 comments on this page ( some more than once) are each convinced their view is correct. There are millions of opinions from people with real knowledge and substantial experience, so which path should he
choose?
Lets back off and see what the enemy is doing ! Maybe we can determine their situation. Well , we have killed, wounded, routed and decimated their forces where ever they can be detected . They must hit and flee . Set bombs alongside roads and spring sneak attacks where we least expect it. We have annihilated them where ever they are….. and we are told WE are losing. They have killed more innocent people ,women and children than we will in 50 years, and We are the bad guys. They are hiding in places where they have no legal or natural sanctuary and We are told to get out.
Yet. I do not hear middle eastern leaders crying for the insurgents to surrender. I don’t hear or see any responsible leader calling for the insurgents to stop murdering the innocent. There is no call in any Arab country for the enemy to stop this war.
So , lets take a page from the enemies book and hunt them down and kill them.
Give them no quarter or sanctuary. Kill them ruthlessly and kill them often.
In this way , will the outcome be decided. When the killing ends the war will be over. If we have a cessation now we will ultimately have to start killing them later. If this carries into Iran, kill them in Iran. If this takes us into Pakistan , kill them in Pakistan. They have made it crystal clear that they intend to kill us. No diplomacy, negotiation or appeasement will alter their objective. So I say kill them now.
Then we may have Peace.
