Sorry, but no, I did not see the contradiction. I clearly said that we should stay and finish the job…just not under this Commander In Chief. And sadly, he is the only one we have. So the best way I know of to support our troops by bringing them home. No one is talking about pulling funding while they are still there. We did that in Vietnam and it was wrong and cost lives.
No man is an island and Bush has taken dangerous freedoms with the lives of our troops by not listening to his advisors and most importantly, his Generals. The Presidency is not about one man, it is an institution and it must be administered by someone who can listen to others and acknowledge that he doesn’t know it all. When I see 4 years, thousands of Americans dead and billions spent and our soldiers still cannot get the equipment they need, then it’s not me that has failed to support our troops…it is our President.
