One of the ways to doubly victimise a minority is to deny its very victmisation.
The Muslim world does this daily in its denial of its 14-century-long subjugation of Jews.
France does this daily by its denial of the miserable state of Judaism in France. I testify to this from personal experience. In groups in private and even in the occasional public meeting, 9 out of 10 French Jews see no long-term future for Jews in France.
And Marie can stuff her “polls” in her ear. Pollsters knw resondents answer often differently from their behaviour. For example, consumers will invariably respond “safety” when asked their first criterion for a car – but will buy according to style, colour, etc.
