The left uses many absurd arguments to oppose this war. Among them none is more rediculous than this one: by opposing and attacking the Islamists we are making them hate us, and this makes their forces bigger and stronger. Yes, bullies, thugs, fanatics, suicide bombers and other savages get angry when they are opposed. So what. When FDR and his Congress declared war on Japan for attacking our military bases at Pearl Harbor, not part of a State of the U.S. at the time, and threw in Germany for good measure, it undoubtedly made them angry, and probably caused a lot of enlistments. Actally, the bigger the Islamist forces get, the less will be their ability to avoid conventional warefare, vs. guerilla warefare. That’s good for us, for then we can canalize them. Just ask the North Viet Namese veterans about Tet. “Canalize” is a tactical term that means sort of herd them together in order to destroy them more readily.
