Where did this strange idea come from that Obama is smart? As we’ve seen recently, his notions of 20th century history, geopolitics, economics, and the Constitution range from embarrassingly simple-minded to flat-out bizarre. They might be forgivable in a 20 year old. But Obama is of middle age. He ain’t no kid. So what’s his excuse?
