The major problem with America today is the fact that the same cowardly idiots who were demonstrating, rioting or running away to Canada during the Vietnam War (not “conflict”) are now running the country. The only reason John Kerry served was because, even then, he had his eyes on the White House and needed military service on his resume. As soon as he got back he (early , after cheating on rules which were designed to protect real heroes) immediately reverted to his true core chicken-shit belief that appeasement and running away from conflict equates to protecting American values. If I could serve in the armed forces fighting the terrorist threats to America I’d be in line tomorrow morning. I’m 61 years old. I enlisted in ’63 and served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. I was called a lot of names by the chicken-shits back then and still get the same feedback when I express my support for the War on Terror (once again, it’s a “War”). Call me anything you want. Just remember that we had to fight to establish this wonderful country with the Revolutiony War, to make the world respect us with the War of 1812, to preserve it with the Civil War and protect the values that we held so dear in WWI, WWII and the Cold War. I’m ashamed of my generation. We were given so much and have wasted it with careless abandon.
