It’s something to have good faith in man-made global warming and its alarmism because of how happy we will apparently be, how lovely the world will be, but this is ridiculous. Scientists do not know enough about the Earth. But believers do. I wonder if believers are capable of controlling the global climate. There is no proof that we are able to demonstrate control. The removal/regulation of man-made forcing mechanisms is the answer, but this wouldn’t demonstrate it.
Might what be required are two conditions: 1) political effort for nations to agree on how to maintain man-made forcing mechanisms and 2) knowledge of and capability to fight nature’s forcing mechanisms. But there are three problems with this global climate control fairytale: 1) we don’t have worldwide political agreement, 2) there is no legitimate consensus to believe that man-made forcing mechanisms are effecting the global climate dangerously, and we’re somewhat f***** by nature.
But politics have had their way. Science has officially been through lack of critical thought, lack of motivation to disprove… Read Mike Hulme’s article on the “toxic” mixture that is politics and science: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704107104574571613215771336.html
