Just a random thought on science on politics. There is a strong consensus among economists that free trade is the best policy — but this is rarely used as a club to target those who advocate trade barriers.
A recent Pew survey showed that belief in AGW has declined significantly; moreover, those who follow the issue and know most about it are least likely to agree with the warmists. This is a clear case where the public is ahead of the “opinion leaders”.
