OK…if you scroll up the string you’ll see that I got my licks in on Moran (see comment 54). Now…it’s time for me to defend him. I read Rick’s stuff almost daily on American Thinker. Better than 95% of the time I agree with him and think he’s a great writer. He is…about 95% of the time.

Another great AT writer is J.R. Dunn. He writes brilliantly and most of the time he’s right on target. But when he strays into his own personal opinions of “birthers” he draws the wrath of AT readers. Why? Because, unlike “truthers”, “birthers” are not necessarily full of shit. Oh…I don’t buy that “he was born in Kenya” stuff…in fact, it’s not even relevant at this point. But the “birthers” have brought to the forefront everything else Obama has concealed. And this actually IS “unprecedented” for a modern president of the USA, Jack Cashill’s work has amply demonstrated how little we actually know about this fraud. The birthers were sounding the alarm long before Jack.

Moran was attacked on AT when he merely commented that he didn’t care much for Rush Limbaugh. What!? Question the profit? I listen to Limbaugh all the time and often hear him speaking from a position of authority about stuff he obviously knows little about. Still, I like Rush. I like Palin, too. I don’t (personally) see her as presidential material but she sure has appeal. The “Arctic Fox” can certainly be a deciding factor in who the Republicans run to defeat Obama in 2012.

My complaint is that it serves no useful purpose to either disparage Sarah Palin or slight the “birthers” at this point and Moran shouldn’t have done so. But I can forgive this transgression because MOST of the time Rick Moran is on OUR side.
