The frenzy surrounding global warming calls to mind the craziness of the dutch tulip bulb market. Here again, too many parties have speculated in specious futures to be able to cut their losses and withdraw with dignity and some remains of their investments. And so long as tax-funded grants drive the research, there will be no shortage of sycophantic anthropogenic global warming proponents bellying up to the slops bin; it’s become a self-perpetuating cycle. Saying “we were wrong” is a polite but wrong term; I believe “we lied to you” is more appropriate.
