Just to give you an idea of how low standards have fallen as long as one’s conclusions fit the prevailing orthodoxy: a paper claiming to find correlation between historical climate data and war casualties in sub-Saharan Africa, then predicting these will go up drastically due to global warming, got published in PNAS. The paper is basically, all fudge and no cake.
