The media was and is a liberal agenda-driven media. They have hyped this with more bias and irresponsibility than even the scientists.
The whole of global warming science can be summed up in one sentence: IF YOU TORTURE DATA LONG ENOUGH, IT WILL CONFESS TO ANYTHING.
The email trove and the “Harry_read_me.txt” shows case after case of data fudging, hiding data that doesnt fit the theory, making little wrong adjustments to ‘hide the decline’ … all in the name of making the ‘case’ for man-made global warming stronger than it really is.
The media is in on the game, selectively reporting only far-fetched worst-case scenarios and ignoring the skeptic realistic doubts and conflicting information.
In reality, the last 60 years have shown a non-remarkable and slight (0.4C) warming, if that much (since dodgy temperature adjustments were also a part of the games played by CRU, GISS and Hadley). In reality, the more commonsense view is to consider the Co2 impact to NOT be amplified by water vapor feedback, since observations are showing negative feedbacks. In reality, tree rings lack accuracy to help us determine detailed temperature trends. In reality, polar bears are doing fine, the sea isnt rising much at all and antarctic ice mass is growing.
