I, too, was very moved by this letter. I was struck by how beautifully and convincingly it was written. Yes, Banafsheh and Manda must be congratulated; and it’s wonderful you’ll be forwarding it to Senator McCain’s campaign.
It’s great you’re working to aid the campaign. I’m doing what I can from this computer. He must win this; and, fortunately for us, McCain is the perfect candidate to run against Obama. What man’s life history would stand in greater contrast to the anti-American values and influences that have shaped and formed Candidate Obama?
Never before have our values as Americans seemed more challenged, imperiled.
The voices of those who have a more intimate knowledge of evil: these two women and Oleg Atbashian, “Communists for Obama,” should be heard by all Americans who would deny reality. Knowing what we – who’ve become spoiled – cannot imagine, their words carry a weight ours cannot.
And while they might not change every vote, they could raise enough doubt that many would stay home. And that’s something not foreign to Obama’s base support.
