At the risk of violating Godwin’s Law, it should be pointed out that academia provided Hitler with core support (see, for example, Modris Eksteins’ “Rites of Spring” or Paul Johnson’s “Modern Times”, or read up on Heidegger). Some things just don’t change, especially in the soft “sciences”, where reality and theory never intersect.

As for the LSE, AFAICS, Mick Jagger is the only thing of value they’ve produced in a long, long time (and he, at least, had the brains to drop out.)
