moho – are you aware of the irrationality of your assumption that a request by an authoritative figure can readily be refused by a person without that high rank? Don’t you know anything about the Misuse of Authority?
To have the president of the USA justify his photo-op by saying that ‘the family agreed’ is actually to justify a blatant abuse of power on Obama’s part.
Don’t you get it? IF Obama wanted to show respect for the soldiers, THEN, he ought to have shown up without the photo-op.That’s all.
But he didn’t do that single action, as Bush used to do, of showing up. Instead, Obama deliberately wanted it to be a photo-op. Of Himself. Got that? Of Himself. It wasn’t about the soldier. It was All About Obama.
