Umm, why don’t we just state the fault lies with the kids who perpetrated the crime and not with anyone or anything else?
And I tire of people blaming media for the behaviors of kids. Not too long ago people were blaming comic books for the violence in the 60s and 70s. Now they want to blame video games. AFAIK, there is no game that advocates the brutal gang rape of a 15 year old girl while other people watch. That there is an animal mentality.
Several years ago, here in AZ a girl around the same age was gang-raped by a bunch of black thugs. Here’s the kicker: the local chapter of the NAACP protested these thugs being prosecuted as adults saying that it was smelled of bigotry to treat the boys so harshly. Here’s another kicker: the girl who was gang-raped was BLACK. Oh, and this happened when the best graphics were to be found on a Super Nintendo. Bad kids will be bad kids and if bad kids do heinous crimes that even adults won’t do then bad kids who do heinous crimes that even adults won’t do should be treated as adults.
