The consensus view of the intellectual elite is that America is a racist nation and must pay for its sins. White individuals by definition are perceived to be guilty. The resulting double standard essentially gives a free pass to racists who are “people of color.” The administrators of academic institutions such as UC Irvine are unlikely to eradicate reverse racism. The odds of this possibly occurring are next to zero. No. it will have to be resolved by outsiders—and please don’t let anyone con you into believing otherwise. At the end of the day, the insiders will do virtually nothing. I once again recommend reading Donald Alexander Downs’ CORNELL ’69 Liberalism and the Crisis of the American University. This work will clearly show that academic political correctness did not begin yesterday morning. Sadly, the decline started nearly four decades ago! It is now well established.
