“Blame” may change how we feel about it, but it won’t espouse any “solutions”
Richmond is a cruel, unforgiving and violent place to live. Every environmental factor from pop culture, poverty even its location across the bay in view of San Quentin prison contribute to this wretched reality. When my car was stolen in 2002, it was found gutted in Richmond’s ‘Iron Triangle’ neighborhood where I was told by authorities that 80% of stolen vehicles in the Bay Area end up. Chop shops, crack spots, grow houses all intermingle & line the ruthless streets of this post industrial, long ago abandoned fringe city.
